Work day purpose: To pull up the benthic barrier placed in the spring (in four locations on Little White Lake), and plant native species in the patches. Next spring they will treat more patches (cut the plant way back and remove all vegetation matter from the area) and place the matting in the new treatment plot.

News Release May 20, 2016   Brand new Pocket Park gets kids out on bikes and trails   The Shuswap, British Columbia - It's official! The brand new CSRD Mt Tuam Community Bike Park is open in Blind Bay. The pocket park, funded and built by CSRD Parks in collaboration with the Shuswap Trail Alliance, is the perfect play spot for novice mountain bikers to practice riding on trails with a short easy green loop and a slightly more challenging but still short blue loop, plus an up trail to get you back to the start to try again.
