2009 Fall Shuswap Hiking Series
The Shuswap Hospice Society, the Shuswap Trail Alliance, and Salmon Arm Recreation are pleased to profile new hiking routes in the Shuswap.
- Start times are Absolute Finish times are Approximate!!
- All hikes are “weather permitting” Sorry: no dogs.
- Join us in the outdoors for some “natural healing” and enjoyable, friendly hiking, and help us raise
- funds for the Shuswap Hospice Society
COST: Each hike will cost $10.00 per person or $25.00 per family
This will cover the cost of insurance with the rest of the contribution going to provide funding support for the Shuswap Hospice Society.

BRING: Bring appropriate gear for cold and/or wet weather (including a toque!), good (comfortable) walking shoes, food/snacks, water and day pack.
1. Balmoral to White Lake Trail (South Shuswap)
The region’s newest trail immerses travellers in the tranquility of the forest between Blind Bay and White Lake, with a dramatic viewpoint overlooking the Tappen Valley halfway. |

of White Lake Road just before the junction with Parri Road) A shuttle will be set-up
with the Balmoral trailhead. Or to carpool, meet at the Salmon Arm Rec Centre

2. Friday Evening Walk on the new Park Hill Trails (Salmon Arm) with Salmon Arm Greenways

3. Hyde Mountain Lookout (Sicamous/East Shuswap) with guest host Lori Schneider Wood
Forest hike up to east Larch Hills and spectacular views of south Mara Lake above Hyde Mountain. |
