The Bike For Your Life Tour started in 1998 with the hopes of promoting a healthy lifestyle, family solidarity, and community involvement through a fun cycling event in which all ages and abilities could participate.

The four bike routes are designed to be safe and fun. Whether you have never ridden a bike before, or you are an endurance cyclist join in. Everyone is welcome! This is not a racing event.

The emphasis is on participation, rather than time, to make it fun for an individual or family. Enjoy the company of fellow cyclists. Ride with your friends and challenge yourself to ride a route distance you might not consider doing on your own.

Proceeds from the Bike for Your Life Century Ride to to help fund the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Second Harvest Food BankSalmon Arm's Second Harvest Food Bank was established in 2001. The Food Bank is open Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings. It benefits approximately 450 people each week.

Food Bank donations come from local businesses (mostly day old stock), local individuals and a variety of clubs and churches in the community. Cash donations to purchase food come from business and community fund raisers, the Salmon Arm Churches Thrift Store and grants from the city of Salmon Arm, the local Credit Union and Shuswap Community Foundation. Global Okanagan (CHBC) out of Kelowna has also done fundraisers for Second Harvest Food Bank.

Still it's a struggle to meet the need week after week.Proceeds from the Bike for Your Life Century Ride will help fund the Second Harvest Food Bank. Thank you!
