National Aboriginal Day was first celebrated in 1996 and was renamed in 2017 to National Indigenous Day. There are festivals, events, celebrations and ceremonies which take place across Canada to mark the occasion. Please come out and join your community to celebrate National Indigenous Day, to be held at Pierre's Point, Salmon Arm.  

This is an invitation for you to join in for a fun filled day to share in Traditional and Contemporary activities for all ages!! Some activies include: 5km Trail Walk/Run, Dragon Boat and Canoe races, Traditional Lehal Lessons and more. Hosted by ADAMS LAKE INDIAN BAND

Quaaout Lodge in Chase, BC is also hosting an event in the evening that offers Fireworks, along with their many fun activities as well!!  They are asking that you support both events on this amazing day that recognizes First Peoples of the area.
