Shuswap trail party models collaboration

Shuswap trail party models collaboration

Its official: the Feb 1st Shuswap Trail Alliance Party and Fundraiser is sold out. Who said Salmon Arm is a last-minute town?! Once again, residents and community leaders throughout the Shuswap have put their pennies where their heart is and shown their support for continued care and upkeep of our growing greenway trails system. And donations are still coming in ensuring another year of support for greenway projects throughout the Shuswap. Organizers are extending their thanks to everyone!

And even more good news - the local ENACTUS student organization (“Entrepreneurs in Action for Us“) have jumped in to help. The local chapter of ENACTUS is part of an international organization of University and College students around the globe committed to making a difference in communities. The ENACTUS team will assist Shuswap Trail Alliance event coordinators with the auction and designated driving (for which donations to ENACTUS can be made.)

And to make things even better, all four of Salmon Arm's car dealers - Braby Motors, Hilltop Toyota, Jacobson Ford, and Salmon Arm GM - have joined together with ENACTUS and the Shuswap Trail Alliance to provide shuttle vehicles for the evening. "What a model of collaboration!" says STA chair, Winston Pain. "THANK YOU!"

The sell-out event features the hotly anticipated return of Scarecrow, EZ Rock's Patrick Ryley, MCs Mike and Stephanie of Million Dollars in Pennies, locally sourced appies, Barley Station micro-brew and cash bar, loaded silent auction tables, lots of good trail vibe, and dancin' dancin' dancin'.

Organizers are extending an advance thank you to the 140 businesses and community leaders who have contributed to this year's event in support of 2013 greenway trail work throughout the Shuswap! Hot platinum items include two Waterways Houseboat Vacations (yes two!), a chance to purchase the new Hydrofoil Sit-on Water Ski invented by local entrepreneur Blair Scholinder, and two days of dreamy backcountry powder in the Anstey Range with the Shuswaps very own K3 Cat Skiing. The event also received Platinum level cash and in-kind contributions from Browne Johnson Land Surveyors, the Investors Group, BC Sound, and EZ Rock.
